My Dark Page turns the personality traits psychologists actually study into quick, visual scans you can run on the people in your life. And on yourself.

Where the questions come from

Every scan is built around trait constructs with a real research literature behind them: narcissistic grandiosity and entitlement, the “dark triad,” the relationship patterns that predict a couple failing, the tactics that make up gaslighting, adult attachment styles. We write our own plain-English questions about observable behavior for each construct. We never copy questions from clinical instruments, many of which are copyrighted, and none of which were designed to be answered about someone else.

What a readout is, and isn’t

A readout is a summary of the pattern in your own answers, drawn as an archetype. It is a mirror for your observations, not a verdict on another person. No quiz can diagnose a personality disorder; that takes a clinician and a direct assessment. What a scan can do is help you see a pattern clearly enough to decide what to do about it. If a readout lands hard, the “what you can do” list on every result page is written to be actually doable this week. And if you ever feel unsafe, contact a domestic-abuse hotline in your country. They help with planning, not just emergencies.

Privacy

Scoring runs entirely in your browser. Your answers are never sent to a server, never stored, and never attached to you. Close the tab and the scan is gone. Share cards contain the archetype, not your answers, unless you choose to share a link that carries them.

How the site makes money

Some links are affiliate links: the therapy-matching service on result pages, and the books we recommend, which link to Amazon. If you sign up or buy through them we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Affiliate links never change what a scan tells you.
